Price watch
Checked daily · Google Flights and Hotels · a guide, not a quoteWhat we're tracking and how we decide
Flights: return economy, Dallas (DFW) to Heathrow, out Fri 25 June, home Thu 1 July 2027. Hotels: the cheapest rooms rated 3.5 stars or higher near Southfields, 2 people sharing, on our two hotel nights.
Summer fares to London are usually cheapest booked 3 to 6 months ahead (January to March 2027) and climb in the last two months. Hotels near Wimbledon fill up during the Championships and rarely get cheaper, so book a room with free cancellation early and rebook if the price drops.
Who's bringing what
Claim an item so we don't end up with five power banks and no tarp. Stoves and gazebos aren't allowed in the Queue.
Your packing list
Ticks are saved on this device onlyWhat to wear
There's no dress code for spectators; the all-white rule is for players. Dress for three nights on the lawn, warm days and cool nights, and a bag small enough for left luggage.
One bag for the whole trip
Everything here mixes across the four levels. Wear the bulkiest pieces on the plane.Weather and the lawn
- Late June in London is usually around 20–24°C (68–75°F) by day and 12–14°C (54–57°F) at night, and showers are common. Check the forecast the week before.
- Nights in the park feel colder than the number: dew soaks the grass by morning. Sleep in a dry base layer and keep tomorrow's outfit in a dry bag.
- There are no showers in the park, so pick fabrics that don't show creases or sweat: jersey, linen blends, merino.
- Expect to stand and walk for hours on grass and paths. Flat shoes or block heels; stilettos sink into the lawn.
- Suitcases stay at the hotel. Left luggage takes cabin-size bags (60 × 45 × 25 cm), and inside the grounds you'll want a small day bag.
The grounds and the Queue
Tap a court for its order of play. A gold ring marks a court with a match you've starred; a pulsing green dot means a match is on now.
Around the grounds
Courts, gates and roads are from OpenStreetMap. Toilets, left luggage and the campsite are approximate; check the official 2027 map and follow the stewards.
Who's playing where
Star the matches you want to catch and they light up on your map. Wimbledon publishes each day's order of play the evening before; this page updates every 5 minutes during the Championships.
The Queue, step by step
Wimbledon's official same-day ticket line in Wimbledon Park, five minutes' walk from Southfields tube station. One ticket per person.
- Get your Queue cardStewards give each person a dated, numbered card and scan your myWIMBLEDON ID. Cards go only to the person standing there.
- Camp overnightPitch your tent in your place. You can step away for up to 30 minutes; longer and your spot can be lost.
- Wake-up and wristbandsFrom 7:30 am stewards hand show-court wristbands from the front. In 2026 there were 500 each for Centre, No.1 and No.2 Court.
- Drop your gearTents, sleeping bags and big bags go into left luggage in the park before you walk to the gates.
- Buy your ticketGrounds open at 10 am. Everyone behind the wristbands buys a Grounds Pass, which covers every court except the three biggest.
- Upgrade insideFrom about 3 pm, returned show-court seats are resold cheaply to people already inside, through the app or the resale kiosk.
- RepeatAfter play, collect your gear (left luggage closes an hour after play) and rejoin the back of the Queue.
- Our oddsDay 1 show-court seats are a fair shot. Days 2 and 3, expect Grounds Passes plus an afternoon resale upgrade.
